Still got pixelation issues on my head unit and Google not even acknowledging the issue, never mind fixing it. Update 23/10 Google now asking for me to visit community, that's where I'm getting ignored in the first place! Update 1/2 months of people complaining in forums, still no acknowledgement or fix from Google. Update 16/02 again absolutely no acknowledgement of even a fault in a £40k car system, beyond a joke! I love having the power of my Android phone on the big screen in my car. The user interface is much more intuitive and also more powerful than Apple Carplay. I have an iPhone, and Carplay is useless for third-party apps. Android Auto supports a strong selection of audio apps, and the two best navigation apps, Google Maps and Waze. The only problem I have is that occasionally the Google Assistant will freeze up, and I'll have to restart my session. Full Review

Crashes regularly for no apparent reason. Good when it works but too many glitches. Starts itself when the phone is connected to the car via BT even though it only works via cable? All sorts of issues if you dare to connect 2 phones to your cars BT at the same time... Full Review

50% of the time it works fine, but the other 50% is very frustrating. Voice recognition responds with don't understand to the simplest of commands, phone disconnects randomly, and very slow to respond. I have none of these issues when using apple car play in the same car.... Kia sportage 2017 Full Review

Great app overall. The only thing I would change is that don't like that the app automatically opens everytime the phone is unlocked or the home screen is pressed. It makes it hard to open other apps. Full Review

Just set it up with a '18 Chevy Impala. The OEM display in the Chevy is good. Unfortunately, when I exit the app it turns off the auto screen brightness on my Galaxy S7 and sets the display to full dim. Not a problem at night but a HUGE hassle during the day because I can't see anything on the Samsung display. Very disappointed. Full Review

This "safety over all" sucks. i want to type whatsapp messages or a street while driving. search all albums. Voice input sucks for any language other than english. And it doesnt recognize any slang... Limiting to voice doesnt make driving safer - it makes it more dangerous because people still use the phone instead. ;) Think About it Google! I personally - am now using the phone while driving instead of AA. So why don't make AA a good experience instead of prohibiting everything. A user who used the phone before now can use the car dash and it will result in better car safety. Full Review

You've basically broken it because now it asks me if I want to launch it always or just once and if I select just once he comes back and asks me again and again and again and again. I don't want it as the default app. Full Review

For the new Ford M1 multimedia system used in Brazil works every well , got some minor bugs on google assistant voice recognition but it's just a matter of reconnecting the cable again , sometimes has some minor malfunctions when changing from maps to spotify app , song/artist requests but I believe is more a temporary overload from the phone .. I use a Samsung C9 pro with 6Gb ram and the connection speed is unbelievable one tip for Google/Android auto would be to include an Multilanguage recognition . I use Portuguese and English with it and every time I receive a Portuguese message the translation is simply hilarious !! Highly recommended for Ford M1 multimedia system ! Full Review

Great start. I would like better integration with some apps. For example, incoming phone calls seem to clash with my podcast app (ABC Listen). Podcast can't resume after an interruption. Apart from that, it's an excellent app. Using with Subaru XV and Samsung Galaxy S4. Maps are great, music works. It would also be good if it could automatically close the radio. Another minor annoyance is that it asks for permission to use notifications every time. Doesn't remember that. Otherwise, very pleased with it. Full Review

Works great with my Moto Z Play phone and Ford Sync 3. My vehicle doesn't include the navigation option, but through Android Auto, I get an on screen map with touch control and routing based on current traffic conditions. Still needs some refinement and additional supported Apps. Full Review

It needs alot of work as far as patches and fixes. There will be times where it will just disconnect from my pixel 2 xl midway through a song or Google maps. It also doesn't always connect first time you plug it in. It would also be nice to have the full Google assistant transfer over to Android auto so i wouldn't have to unplug my phone to use assistant. When it works it works well though. Full Review

I haven't really had any problems with android auto. I always keep in mind that nothing in this world man-made is perfect. The developers did an excellent job on this, I love the integration when I switch to AA. The navigation is always on point, especially with traffic. It alerts you for traffic and if you want to reroute which is awesome. Also tells you if your destination (say a retail store or something) is closing soon. The music part is great, voice trxt and calling works well too, overall very user friendly. 10/10 would recommend to any android user. Full Review

I wouldn't buy a car without it, but there are some hiccups. Sometimes, when first starting the car, it doesn't work probably, and I have to disconnect then reconnect. You can't select the audio source from inside Android Auto, so usually I have to immediately exit, change the audio source, and go back to Android Auto. Sometimes the volume control will inexplicably change the volume of music /phone /prompt when you want to do one of the others. Still, having Google maps is fantastic. Full Review

Definitely a useful piece of software to have in a car that supports it. Easy to use, simple UI, better support for apps than Car Play. The reasons for down rating it to 4 - 1. It hung once in a Chevy Malibu - may be it's a car software issue. 2. Google assistant is still not there yet. Ok with navigation but not other features like playing music. 3. For Google maps navigation - speed limit indicator would be a useful add on. I could use Waze instead which was a pleasant surprise. Full Review

This is a great app. I use it stand-alone and also linked to the car's entertainment screen. I can get directions, play music, use my phone. It reads out messages and I can use voice commands to request a route, make a call or listen to a piece of music. Hard to think of anything else they could pack in. But looking forward to the next release anyway!! Full Review

Best thing ever, if it works. If you have a pixel 2, don't bother trying unless you want to enable USB debugging and live with less functionality on all uses after the first. (Note: it works fine in stand-alone nice, but doesn't work when plugged into your Android Auto compliant stereo). I hope Google will fix these issues in their flagship phones. If you have an older phone, it will probably work perfectly. Full Review
